    1. Participation in the $10,000 Weekly Blackjack Tournament (“Tournament”) is limited to: (i) invited Club Serrano guests and (ii) non-invited Club Serrano guests that generate at least 1,250 Tier Points during tournament hours on the day of a particular tournament (i.e. 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Tuesday in May) (collectively, “Participants”). There is no entry fee for this Tournament.

    2. Invited guests must go to a Club Serrano kiosk and print their entry voucher before proceeding to the tournament area.  Non-invited guests must go to a Club Serrano kiosk (after generating at least 1,250 Tier Points during tournament hours) and print their entry voucher before proceeding to the tournament area.

    3. Table assignments will be determined randomly by a Tournament representative when the guest arrives at the tournament area.  Management will have the sole and absolute discretion to determine final table assignments.

    4. The Tournament consists of a maximum eight hands of Blackjack.  Unless otherwise modified by these rules, all standard Palms Casino Resort Blackjack rules apply.

    5. Participants may arrive at the Tournament area at any time during the published Tournament hours and play their eight hands.  Failure to arrive at the Tournament area and check-in with a Tournament representative during the published Tournament hours will eliminate the Participants from entry into the Tournament.

    6.  Bankrolls, bet minimums, and bet maximums are as follows:

    Bankroll

    Min Bet

    Max Bet

    $5,000

    $100

    None

    7. A Participant’s final tournament score is determined by their chip count at the end of their eighth hand.  If two or more Participants have the same score after eight hands, the tied Participants will equally split the sum total of the applicable prizes.  For example, if three (3) Participants tie for 2nd place, they would equally split the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place prizes.  The next highest score would receive the 5th place prize amount.

    8. Tournament Chips are non-negotiable, have no value, and may not be used outside of the Tournament.

    9. Tournament Chips may not be given to, received from, exchanged, borrowed, or loaned between Participants.

    10. All hands are dealt from a six (6) deck shoe. Palms Casino Resort standard six (6) deck blackjack rules apply, with the exception that surrender bets are not permitted. Blackjack is paid 3 to 2 only for the first two cards dealt for each hand.

    11. In the event a Participant is passed by after signaling that they wanted a hit card and the dealer’s hand has not been acted on, the dealer hits out all the remaining Participants’ hands and then returns to the missed Participant before acting on the dealer’s own hand.

    12. If cards are dealt out of order and no Participants have acted on their hands, all hands are dead and all bets remain the same.

    13. If the dealer acts upon a hand out of sequence, the dealer will finish out that Participant’s hand completely then go back to the marker and continue in the proper sequence.

    14. No cards will be backed up under any circumstances.

    15. Participants’ cards are dealt face up. Participants may not touch their cards.

    16. All bets and decisions must be made in sequence beginning with the first (1st) hand.

    17. With the exception of insurance bets, all bets must follow the Bankroll Chart set forth in Rule 7.

    18. Dealers may only break down bets in order to pay out bets.

    19. Participants may not change or touch bets placed in the betting circle.

    20. Participants are not required to declare bets to the dealer or other Participants.

    21. Participants must make bets in a timely manner. Tournament Officials reserve the right to intervene if they determine a Participant is impeding the progress of the Tournament. Tournament Officials may, at their discretion, impose a one (1) minute time limit for Participants to act.  A Participant who fails to make a bet within the one (1) minute limit, if imposed, must place the minimum bet for the round and the dealer will proceed to the next Participant.

    22. If the dealer’s exposed card is an Ace, the dealer offers insurance. When the dealer calls for insurance, each Participant must, in their turn, clearly wave off with their hands if they do not want insurance or to make an insurance bet. A Participant’s decision to decline or take insurance is final. “Even money” declarations are prohibited. Participants holding a natural blackjack against the dealer’s Ace may make insurance bets for up to half the amount of their original wager, provided they have enough remaining chips in their bankroll. Partial insurance is allowed.

    23. Each Participant must give a hand signal to indicate the hand is complete. After a Participant gives the signal, the hand is final. Participants must make clear hand signals for all actions.

    24. Participants must play every hand. When a Participant’s remaining bankroll amount drops below the minimum bet required for the next hand, the Participant is eliminated from the Tournament.

    25. The official language of the Tournament is English. Conversing in any other language is not permitted unless translated through a member of the Tournament Staff.

    26. Friendly conversation is permitted but no coaching is allowed.

    27. Participants who violate any Tournament rule may be disqualified from Tournament play.

    28. Participants who voluntarily withdraw from the Tournament are disqualified from Tournament play.

    29. Participants may not use any written or mechanical aids, including calculators and handwritten tabulation of scores.

    30. The use of cellular phones, laptops, and tablets is prohibited at the Tournament tables.

    31. All disputes and suspected discrepancies should be brought to the attention of the Tournament Officials immediately. Disputes and suspected discrepancies shall be settled at the Tournament table before the next hand is dealt.

    32. Smoking is not permitted at the tables.

    33. All prizes shall be awarded in the form of a “Play Through” promotional chips voucher redeemable at the Palms Casino Cage. Promotional chips have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for gaming chips.

    34. Promotional chips may be used for table games wagers and are not restricted to even money bets. Bets wagered with promotional chips are not eligible for any “Surrender” betting options. Participants maintain possession of promotional chips until wagered on a losing bet. When a Participant uses promotional chip to bet and loses, the dealer takes the chip.

    43. Palms Casino Resort does not endorse and will not enforce any agreements made between Participants concerning shared winnings. Participants may not enter into any such agreements at the table during Tournament play.
